Digital LCD TV Block Diagram

Here’s a block diagram of a Digital LCD TV and if possible you may print it out for future use. For your information I used to understand an equipment block diagram first before i go into the schematic and analyze the circuit functions.This is the first step if you wants to venture into new electronic equipment repair.

Thanks Mr.Jestine,
Satu lagi Mr. Jestine. Saya minta petunjuk tentang projector (LCD/DLP), dibeberapa forum pernah saya baca tentang bagaimana mengakali PJ sehingga tidak perlu ganti lampu (bahkan bisa dimodifikasi dengan menggunakan type lampu lain). Kiranya bisa diberikan petunjuk lebih lanjut.

problem whit samsung le40r86bo/bp40eo.Capacitors in power supply swollen
chanded now all volts okey byt not power on to inverterboard.The set clicks
on an off.2 capacitors were swollen,but i changed 4 of same sort.Kan you help
me please.

You said no power to the inverter board. Is there output voltages from the smps? Is the inverter IC vcc pin zero voltage?

Do you have a diagram for LCD inverters, both with single boards and with Master/Slave boards? The problem we encounter most often is a failed inverter board, and sometimes they are very difficult to diagnose, especially when there are 2 boards involved. BTW, we love your site, and we have had a subscription for years now. We’ve also put your LCD monitor book to good use many many times. Keep up the good work Justine.

You can try to download such circuit from the link below http://www.eserviceinfo.com Nowadays lcd monitors have the inverter and the power board connected. Disable the pico fuse or cut open the circuit trace (usually is the 12 to 14 volt line) if the board does not have pico fuse. After isolating the problem you can join back the circuit trace. Sometimes it also depends on the problem of the inverter board too and not necessary you have to cut open the circuit trace.

I invariably found some the problem of LCD monitors that are thin white line horizontally or vertically and black circle spot on the screen. Can you help me to diagnose those specific problems? I love your site very much.

Hi Mosharraf,
Those problems are cause by bad LCD panel. There is no way to repair it. You have to replace the LCD panel.
