About Custom Tax For Test Equipment

taxes

Every countries implement taxes so that the Government  will have money to manage and to develop the country. In my country  (Malaysia) for instance,  each test equipment that brought it in, a 10% of tax of the total value of the test equipment will be charged to the buyer. I’m not sure whether it is high for this amount to be taxed or not. I would like to know, how many percent would your Government will tax for importing test equipment? Thanks!

    Hi Polykarp,

That was also high (19%). That means my country tax is lower than many other countries.

I think my country , the USA is the worst. I believe the taxes would be higher than anywhere else. In addition to VAT - the transportation fees are taxed to bring the item to the buyer, and also the fuel that goes into the vehicle driven to transport it is taxed, not to mention the employees that would all be involved in every aspect to process this item , also are paying tax from their salaries. Then, if you wind up selling the item - its taxed again. In my view, there is too much tax government collects , and no accountability where the citizen mney all goes to. for certain, its not spent wisely. Most government employees in my country have high salaries, and little responsibility to the people to do their job. Police would not put them in jail for mismanaging our money - but they will put citizen in jail for refusing to pay into a corrupt system, that is wrong with world economy today.
