Second Day In Shenzhen China
Second day- After we had our breakfast in the hotel we went straight to Hua Qiang Bei where they call it as electronics city. There are plenty of Taxis and quite easy to get one. We went to the famous SEG Electronics Market building and were amazed by the huge amount of electronics booth (if I’m not wrong there may be a thousand of electronics booth in a building and there are many more electronic building out there) in the building and also sea of people in the place/area. For your information
The first and second floor mainly deals with all kind of electronic components, the third and fourth floor are for computers and the rest of the floors (there are ten floors) are mixed of many variety of electronics related items which include of electronic repair booth too. Since there are so many electronics booth/stall selling many different kinds of electronic components I could not find any specialize booth that sells for example LCD Monitor parts only or LCD TV parts only. It is more like a mix of components and finding the right shop would be difficult since we do not have much time as there are other electronics building that we need to visit.
I did see quite a number of shops selling test equipment but almost all of the shops only selling common tester like scope, analogue/digital meters and etc. There is no new type of meters or may be I haven’t found them yet because the place is so big. There was a brand by the name of Victor has the quite same design like Fluke USA. This Victor brand carries many different ranges/types of meter. While we are searching for test equipment we found a shop that sells a special type of infrared remote control car. This car could run on the wall and you could see the car in action in the video clip at the bottom of the page. I bought one and
We went passed two big blocks of buildings that were only selling hand phones and related parts. Again there are hundreds or even a thousand of those booths that only dealing with hand phones. If you are selling hand phone and planning to import the phones then I suggest that you come to this place. I saw they are selling the Chinese version of I-phone which is less than 70 USD and it has exactly the same like the original i-phone except that the LCD screen is not that bright as compare to the original one.
Besides searching for electronics related items I also went to search for RC helicopter shop. We found one of the shops which are the distributor of Walkera brand but they do not have the model that I’m looking for. I was a bit disappointed because the price is much cheaper than getting it from my country. We continue to walk and search until the time almost hit 6.00pm where we have to head back to the shopping complex to pick up our wives and kids. We had our dinner nearby the complex before taking Taxi back to our hotel. At night about 9.00pm we went out to have a walk to see the country night life and had our supper before heading back to our hotel about 10.30 pm. I will post again tomorrow for the third part so make sure you come back to this blog-Here are the photos and videos taken on the second day in Shenzhen China:
